Bill Sargent's "REALLY Big Band" This is the PREMIUM version of our
Big Band (see The Bill Sargent Big Band below). This band is designed for when
only the VERY BEST will do. This band does everything our famous regular big band does, but with a slightly richer sound, fuller texture, and more complete harmonies. A band with true depth - both in sound an experience. This band has 1 more trumpet, 2 more trombones, and 1 more sax to give you the ultimate big band sound and experience.
The more it swings, the better! And swing it should, for it is
lead by "Wisconsin's King of Swing" - Bill Sargent! We focus on the classy stuff . . . you know, like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald . . . Swing, Jazz and Classic Big Band. Songs from America's greatest composers; Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hart. Bands like Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Louis Prima, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman. We also can cover dance steps like Swing, Lindy, Jump, Fox Trot, Waltz, Polka and Latin (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Tango, Mambo, Samba). Ethnic music like Italian, Irish, etc.? No problem! Jewish or Christian music? No problem! Do you have specific contemporary needs that would normally be handled by a DJ? NO PROBLEM! Save yourself the money of hiring a DJ and use us instead! You can burn to CD specific songs you wish to be played at your function and we'll play them through our professional sound system during our breaks or at any requested time during our performance! With us, YOU CAN GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! (If you need assistance in compiling your CD, we can assist you with that.) A DJ can only provide you with "canned recordings". We
can not only give you that, but also the very best live band in Wisconsin!!
A Bill Sargent Custom Band
These units perform only the classic standards from jazz, big band and Broadway show tunes. Songs from America's greatest composers; Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hart, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller all the great classics for an evening of great listening and or dancing. We focus on the classy stuff . . . you know, like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. We also can cover dance steps like Swing, Fox Trot, Waltz, Polka and Latin (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Tango, Mambo, Samba). Ethnic music like Italian, Irish, etc.? No problem! Jewish or Christian music? No problem! These units do not perform any contemporary or varieties of music not listed above, except when designed specifically in a BACK-UP band situation (such as backing groups like The Drifters or The Shirelles or name solo artists).

Sargent's TRAD-JAZZ ROUSERS Dixieland Band These are some of the best players on the planet! Players like Chuck Hedges and Jeff Pietrangelo . . . It just doesn't GET any better than that! This band really COOKS with Trumpet, Clarinet, Trombone, Piano, String Bass & Drums. Occasionally, we use a vocalist. This band isn't much for dinner music and the like . . . but it does
set a great atmosphere for a party, picnic, concert or festival.
We also provide musicians
for most any need like wedding ceremonies and other functions.
